Introduction

The College of Advanced Bio-Convergence Engineering at Ajou University provides an optimal environment for cutting-edge bio-convergence education and research, with multiple disciplines integrated within a single campus. These include the College of Engineering, School of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Natural Sciences, College of Computing and Informatics, and Ajou University Hospital.

  • Goal of Education

  • The College of Advanced Bio-Convergence Engineering aims to become a leading hub for convergence and engineering education that shapes the future. It operates three specialized majors:

- Innovative Pharmaceutical Engineering : focuses on the research and development of biopharmaceuticals and synthetic drugs, aiming to treat intractable diseases.
  • - Advanced Bio Materials Engineering : emphasizes the development of functional materials applicable to bio-materials, food, and cosmetics industries.
    • - Digital Bio Engineering : centers on AI-based bio-health research and development.

As these three majors are closely interconnected and require the integration of knowledge and technology, the college promotes interdisciplinary learning by breaking down barriers between fields. This approach enables students to design flexible and diverse career paths.
